When planning a vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, make sure you include a visit to the Pigeon Forge Gem Mine, located on the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, only two miles from Dollywood, and minutes from Gatlinburg and Sevierville. Here you can mine for your own gems in our flume area. You can have your finds cut and polished and mounted into Jewelry. Visit our FREE Rock and Fossil Museum. Check out our General Store which includes our Assay Station, Rock Shop,Fossil Shop, Jewelry Counter, Book Center, and unusual gifts made from rocks and fossils.
We are located next door to the Three Bears General Store, where you can see five live bears, and do some more souvenir shopping while you’re in town. They also have the area’s largest selection of Pandora Jewelry and Simply Southern apparel. Check them out!
Make sure you check out our tongue in cheek history of the mine as well as our Stone to Gem as you follow a stone form the time it’s mined at our flumes until it’s mounted on a ring.
Want to know a little about us? Check out who we are. And if it’s your first time here, check out our location and hours. Jewelry is the section that people who have already mined with us and they have a stone they want to get cut and mounted or for those who have taken home a “to-go kit” or “to-go bucket” and want to get a stone cut.
For the "little pirates", we also have a Pirates Treasure Bucket!
